other currencies with the same name. Otherwise the term pound is normally used.

the wholesale financial markets, but not when referring to specific amounts.

Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, the British Antarctic Territory, and
Tristan da Cunha. It is subdivided into 100 pence (singular: penny,
abbreviated: p). A number of nations that do not use sterling also have
currencies called the pound.
4) Jordanian Dinar:-
The Jordanian
dinar is the currency of Jordan. It
is also widely used alongside the Israeli shekel in the West Bank. The dinar is
divided into 10 dirham, 100 qirsh (also called piastres) or 1000 fulus.
After Jordan became an independent kingdom on 25 May 1946,
the idea of issuing a national currency arose and led to the passing of the
Provisional Act No. 35 of 1949. Under this Act, the Jordan Currency Board
got formed, which became the sole authority entitled to issue Jordanian
currency in the kingdom. The London-based entity consist of a president and
four members.

The Omani rial is the currency of Oman. It is divided into
1000 baisa.

the currency of Bahrain. It is divided into 1000 fils. The name
dinarderives from the Roman denarius. The dinar was
introduced in 1965, replacing the Gulf rupee at a rate of. The Bahraini
dinar is abbreviated or BD . It is usually represented with three decimal
places denoting the fils.

the currency of Kuwait. It is sub-divided into 1,000 fils.
The Kuwaiti dinar is the world’s highest-valued currency unit.
It
was in the year 1960 when Kuwaiti Dinar got introduced. The
Highest Currency in the World , Kuwati Dinar was introduced to replace
the Gulf rupee, equal to the Indian rupee.. Things changed
when in 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait and the Iraqi dinar replaced
the Kuwaiti dinar as the currency, then large quantities of banknotes were
stolen by the invading forces. After liberation, the Kuwaiti dinar got restored
as the country’s currency and a new banknote series were introduced, allowing
the previous notes, including those stolen, to be demonetised.
